How to check my OSD role

The Online Standards Development (OSD) platform has five roles with differing levels of permission.

Your current role appears in the top right of the display:

OSD showing role.

A user logged into the project with the OSD Voter role.

Please note

Some users are able to Change current role via the Other actions menu (see above image).

1 TC authoring phase roles

1 Author role

Corresponds to the experts of the PT/WG/MT (with this associated OSD role and permissions granted to those registered as such in EMS), who can read/write/comment on content.

2 Leader role

Corresponds to the committee officers, project leader and leadership of the PT/WG/MT (with this associated OSD role and permissions granted to those registered as such in EMS) who, in addition, can accept/reject proposed changes to the content made by authors and can resolve comments made.

These roles become inactive during the NC commenting and ballot phases.

2 NC commenting and ballot phases

There are three roles at these stages (OSD Voter, OSD Manager, OSD Commenter).

These roles are explained in the online learning and are inactive during the TC authoring phases.
