As an Owner, Assignee or Watcher, an alert bubble will appear on the bell icon at the top right of the Collaboration Platform (CP) toolbar to let you know:

A task has been updated

A task has been created (assigner and watcher only)

A task has been assigned (assignee only):
In addition to this online notification, owner/assignee/watcher will receive email notifications.
