Who receives the AUTHOR role in OSD?
Any member of the Working Group (WG) linked to the project is automatically assigned the AUTHOR role, giving them write-level access (create, edit, modify) to project documents.
Example: All SC 65C/WG 3 members receive AUTHOR on projects managed by that WG.
Who receives the LEADER role?
The LEADER role is granted to three groups:
WG/PT officers — the Convenor of a Working Group, Project Leader of a Project Team, or officer of a Maintenance Team.
Designated Project Leaders — the person explicitly named as Project Leader for that project.
TC/SC Officers — the Chair, Secretary, and Assistant Secretary of the parent TC and SC responsible for the Working Group.
Example: For a project managed under TC 65 / SC 65C / WG 3, the TC 65 Chair & Secretary, the SC 65C Chair & Secretary, and the WG 3 Convenor all receive LEADER.
What can AUTHOR and LEADER roles do that READER cannot?
Both AUTHOR and LEADER provide write-level access — they can create, edit, and modify project documents. READER access is view-only. LEADER additionally implies officer-level responsibilities within the WG or project.
