About National Adoption in OSD
OSD National provides dedicated features for creating a national adoption of an international standard.
When working on an adoption project, you can keep the original international content while adding content that is specific to your National Committee.
National content can be added in different parts of the standard, including:
-
National Standard Title
-
National Foreword
-
National Introduction
-
National Normative References
-
National Bibliography
-
National Annexes
-
National Notes
-
National Caution
-
National Footnotes
-
Other content specifically marked as national
OSD visually identifies national content in the editor, helping authors distinguish it from the original international content.
National elements can also be reviewed from the Overview panel under the National adoption category.
The current adoption features are designed for the national adoption of IEC International Standards. Adoption of regional standards, including specific rules restricting modifications to regional content, is not covered by these features.
