Assigning roles via EMS

1 How to use the EMS IEC Roles tab?

National Committee administrators are responsible for assigning roles to their respective experts, via the IEC Roles tab and the Assign button.

The available options depend on the National Committee’s participation.

Only P-members on the TC/SC working groups, maintenance teams, etc. will be displayed as options:

2 What is the relationship between IEC Roles and the Collaboration Platform?

Experts assigned to a technical committee are automatically granted access to the relevant section of the Collaboration Platform.

3 What is the relationship between IEC Roles and the Online Standards Development (OSD) platform?

OSD Technical Committee roles (Leader and Author) are managed exclusively in the Expert Management System.

International TC/SC/SyC experts assigned to a technical committee are automatically granted OSD permissions based on their group and function in EMS.
